The legend returns! Join us Saturday, June 27th from 1:00–4:00pm in Hanover for the fourth annual Super Slip N’ Slide Day—a gloriously ridiculous summer tradition built around speed, water, and a giant homemade slide.

We’re talking a 100-foot plastic tarp, pool noodle bumpers, plenty of dish soap, and enough splash-filled chaos to make you feel like a kid again. Take the slow-and-steady route or get a running start and see just how far you can fly. Either way, it’s hard not to laugh the whole way down.

Not into launching yourself across a backyard water runway? Come anyway. There’ll be drinks, snacks, shade, and plenty of good company for anyone who just wants to hang out and enjoy the afternoon. Families are welcome, and everything is completely free—just bring clothes you don’t mind getting soaked in.

Whether you’re crocheting, sewing, painting, lettering, quilting, coloring, or trying something entirely different, this is a welcoming space to work with your hands, swap ideas, and enjoy the simple rhythm of making something. Bring your own supplies and project, and settle in for a cozy night with light bites and drinks provided.

No experience necessary—just come ready to create. Kids are absolutely welcome to join us when accompanied by a responsible adult. One important note: glitter must stay at home.

Settle in for an easygoing night of laughter, light competition, and just the right amount of chaos. Join us on Thursday, June 25th from 7–9pm at 2810 W. Cary St. (Depot) for a family-friendly game night where you can learn something new or bring along a favorite you love to play.

We’ll have a mix of games on hand, but feel free to toss one in your bag and share it with the group. All are welcome (ages 7+ encouraged), and it’s completely free—just come ready to play. The gate will be open, with parking in the back, and you can enter through the side door.

Slow down, soak up the sunshine, and drift along the James River with good company. Join us on June 14th for a women’s paddleboarding trip from Powhatan State Park to Maidens Landing—a peaceful 5-mile float filled with beautiful scenery, easy conversation, and plenty of time to unwind on the water.

We’ll meet at 1:00pm in the parking lot at Maidens Landing and carpool to the Canoe Landing at Powhatan State Park to launch. The float typically takes around 3–4 hours, with lots of opportunity to relax and enjoy the ride. If timing works out, we may grab dinner together afterward.

Bring your paddleboard, kayak, or tube, and come ready for a laid-back day outdoors. A few extra paddleboards and tubes are available to borrow if needed—just reach out ahead of time so we can make sure everyone is set. This is a women’s-only outing (but look for a family float day in July!), free to attend, and open to all experience levels.

Join us on Saturday, June 13th at Forest Hill Park for a laid-back picnic and reading hangout where the vibe is easy, the company is warm, and the pages keep turning. Bring along a favorite book, pack yourself something delicious, and settle in with a hammock, picnic blanket, or lawn chair—whatever makes you feel most at home.

Stretch out under the sky, snack, read, chat (or not!), and enjoy a peaceful escape at your own pace. Come for a little while or stay all afternoon—this is your time to unwind, recharge, and savor the moment.

Spend the morning chasing hidden gems, good coffee, and the kind of finds you definitely weren’t looking for but suddenly need. Join us on June 13th for a relaxed day of thrift hopping around North Chesterfield and Midlothian as we explore a handful of local shops together in search of vintage treasures, quirky décor, great books, and unexpected favorites.

We’ll start the day at Urban Farmhouse in Midlothian at 9:30am to grab a drink and ease into the morning before heading to our first thrift stop at 10:00am. From there, we’ll make our way through 3–4 stores, enjoying the hunt and the conversation along the way.

Comfortable shoes and a reusable shopping bag are highly recommended. Families are welcome, and there’s no cost to join outside of whatever treasures you decide to bring home.

Try something active, a little challenging, and surprisingly fun to figure out together. Join us on Tuesday, June 9th from 6:30–8:30pm at Triangle Rock Club Richmond for an evening of bouldering and hanging out—no ropes, just movement, problem-solving, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Whether you’re a seasoned climber or brand new to the wall, this is a great chance to try something different and connect with a small group. We’ll meet in the lobby about 10 minutes early to get checked in and ready to go. Cost ranges from $10–25 depending on age, with optional shoe rentals available for $5. Recommended for ages 6 and up.

Spend a summer evening surrounded by towering trees, open skies, and the sound of live orchestral music. Join us on Saturday, June 6th from 7:30–9:00pm at Pocahontas State Park as the Richmond Symphony takes the stage as part of the Pocahontas Premieres concert series.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, settle in under the evening sky, and enjoy a performance in one of the region’s most beautiful outdoor settings. Gates open one hour before the concert, giving plenty of time to find a spot and enjoy the atmosphere before the music begins.

Families are welcome, and the only cost is the park entrance fee (typically $10 per vehicle, or free with a VA State Park Pass). Meetup details will be shared with attendees closer to the event.

Kick off the summer season with live music, warm evening air, and one of Richmond’s best lawn hangouts. Join us Friday, June 5th from 5:00–10:00pm on the Carriage House Lawn at Maymont for an outdoor concert night featuring yacht rock favorites from Three Sheets to the Wind and a high-energy set from Full Moon Fever. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket, settle into the grass, and enjoy an evening of music, dancing, food trucks, and sunset views with friends. Beer, cider, and wine will also be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting Maymont’s ongoing work and programs.

We’ll try to reserve a section of the lawn so the group can sit together, and day-of meetup details will be shared by text. Tickets are $10 for children and seniors (65+) and $20 for adults when purchased in advance. Families are welcome.

Start your Friday with fresh air, steady miles, and a rhythm that carries into the rest of your day. Join us every Friday morning starting May 22nd from 6:30–8:00am, rolling out from 2810 W. Cary St. (Depot) for a group ride that’s all about staying together and enjoying the route.

This is a group bike ride with "no drops"; we stay together. Will ride 18 miles making the loop west on Grove Avenue, through University of Richmond, over Huguenot Bridge, Riverside Drive to Lee Bridge, and return on Grayland Avenue to 2810. Great scenery on a Richmond designated Bike Route.

We leave from 2810 at 6:30am sharp - Parking is available on-site.
